Description: Big compact grape bunch, Blue-black color, Less resistant to diseases, Early ripening grape (gives the name to this variety: “Tempranillo” – diminutive of “temprano/early”), Highly suitable for aging.

Profile: Dry, Full-bodied, Medium-high tannins, Low-mid acidity, Ruby red color, Medium-high alcohol content.

Aromas: Tobacco, Cherry, Cedar, Vanilla, Plum, Red fruits (when young)

Main Regions: La Rioja, Castilla-La Mancha, Castilla León, Extremadura, Navarre.

Other Regions: D.O.Ca. La Rioja, D.O. Navarra,D.O. Ribera del Duero, D.O. Valdepenas, D.O. Conca de Barberá, D.O. Somontano, D.O. La Mancha, D.O. Carinena, D.O. Cigales. Widely cultivated in Portugal (D.O. Douro), Chile, México, Argentina.
