Graciano Spanish Grape
Grape probably from northern Spain, very popular even in southern Andalucía. Covers 2.752 ha (2022). Known as “Tintilla de Rota, Xeres, Graciana, Bordelais”.

Description: Huge Grape bunch, Dark-Blue color, Less productive, Resistant to arid areas and plagues, Late bud and ripening, Mostly harvested end of October.

Profile: Higher acidity, Strong tannins, Intense red color, Medium alcohol content, Perfect aging ability.

Aromas: Intense aroma of Red and Black fruits, Licorice, Leather, Vanilla.

Main regions: In Spain cultivated in La Rioja and Navarre being minority grape used for blending.

Other Regions: Authorized in Andalucía (D.O. Sierras de Málaga), Cantabria.

Cultivated in France (Languedoc-Roussillón) and U.S.A. where is known as Xeres grape.

Blending: Its intense aroma makes this variety highly suitable for blending with others grapes like Tempranillo, Garnacha or even both creating triple blend Tempranillo-Garnacha-Graciano.

Suggestions:
