Although being small and originally fishing village it´s hard to find any place as beautiful, isolated and charming like Cadaqués on Costa Brava shoreline. In between the rocks and hills this place has caught many artists and others.

The village keeps its marine atmosphere, being located in a small bay of Mediterranean, huge part of historic center still well preserved is topped by church. Second impression is legacy of Salvador Dalí and his amazing house in Port Lligat, a small hamlet next to Cadaqués.
Apart the village, the surrounding area, rocky shoreline, cliffs and peninsula Cap de Creus – the eastern part of Spain within few KM from Cadaqués makes this place pretty unique.

The medieval origin of village can be traced in historic center where the original pavement called El Rastell covers some narrow streets. It´s made manually of rocks taken out of shoreline.
Important part of architectural legacy are houses along the port built in Catalan Modernism. White houses beautifully decorated by blue ornaments expressing were mostly built by locals who got enriched in America.
The human trace is visible on every corner as monumental Salvador Dalí has its statue in bay and its house today converted in museum behind the small hill in marine hamlet Port Lligat. Apart many other artists went over to spend time around like Picasso, Miró, Pitxot, Hamilton or Duchamp.

Apart of official fests there are many walking paths around the shoreline to enjoy tranquil atmosphere and superb views.
- New Year´s celebration in Cap de Creus – reunion of people to be first Iberians to see the sunrise
- Fiesta de San Sebastián – San Sebastian Fest (January) – celebration of Cadaqués patron
- Carnival (February) – Gluttony celebration before the Lent comes, last day – the Wednesday – the popular Entierro de Sardina (A Burial of Sardines) is celebrated when sardines are eaten
- Fiesta de Carmen – Carmen Fest (July) – fest to celebrate Carmen, the patron of sailors
- Festival Internacional de Música de Cadaqués – International Music Festival (August) – a week of multi genre music around the village
- Camí de Ronda – Cap de Creus – a beautiful path along the shoreline to the eastern part of Spain, Cap de Creus (7 KM)
- GR 92 Track – a walking path heading inland to spectacular Romanesque jewel monastery San Pere de Rodes (15 KM)
